Joker glanced around as she carefully walked the halls of the strange castle she found herself in. She didn't know how she had gotten separated from the others, but she had. She glanced down at her phone, of course she had no signal. Even her MetaNav app wasn't working and that worried her.

She was still in her Joker outfit, so there had to be danger around somewhere. She rounded a corner and looked around. There was something coming right for her. It looked like a demon of sorts, crackling with electricity.

"Let's do this, Arsene!" She called out, summoning the red and black clad Persona.

The demon bird - Rycuda - let out a screech at the intruder, flexing its talons. It had some similarities in appearance to a karasu-tengu, but it was a bright blue, had no arms (just wings), and, of course, tengu were generally associated with wind, not lightning.

Something, however, seems to be restraining it from attacking immediately, in spite of the very real death glare it's giving the interloper.

That restraint doesn't last long, though, once she calls out Arsene - but it will give her the chance for a first strike.

"Dream Needles!" She called out as she got closer to what she could now tell was some type of bird. It was odd, she didn't have to unmask it to see it's true form. It didn't matter. She would do what she could to protect herself while she was here.

She was about to follow up on the needle attack when the bird flapped it's wings, creating a gale that would cause her to shield her face.

She rolled out of the way of talons and raised her gun, firing off several shots as she summoned her Persona again.

The sounds of the gunshots echo off the stone walls, which should alert everything in about a hundred miles - but nothing else comes running. At least for now, the castle is playing nice.

The needle attack makes the demon bird let out a terrifying screech as it flaps to gain altitude, and that crackling electricity snaps out a bolt of chain lightning, which misses by only a hair's breadth - a whiff of ozone taints the air briefly.

The bullets get a much bigger reaction, as Rycuda squawks with alarm. The bullets pierce its feather coat, passing through its body with relative ease and releasing streamers of dark blood.

More importantly, they knock the demon bird out of the air, dropping it to the ground. Perfect setup for a holdup! ...but is that even going to work here?
